Now this is the type of bold conservative political leadership we have been longing for. Kudos to the House Republicans for deciding to impose a one-year, self imposed ban on earmark funding.
"For millions of Americans the earmark process in Congress has become a symbol of a broken Washington," said John Boehner, R-West Chester. He goes on to say that the ban "shows the American people we're serious about reform".
Contact your Republican Representative and thank them for taking this step and encourage them to continue with conservative reforms and positions.
This is a great first step but don't stop there. Let's get rid of earmarks altogether, both parties forever.
